“Where is she?” Octavius asked immediately he arrived home with a wrapped gift in his hands.

“Who?” his butler asked when he walked to the living room.

“My wife,” Octavius replied as he sat down.

“Young mistress hasn’t come back yet,” Alfred said as he looked at his young master in pity.

He had already overheard the conversation between Rhiannon and her nanny Mary when they were talking on the phone and knew that the latter wasn’t coming home. Nonetheless, he didn’t say anything about it as he felt that it wasn’t his place to say anything.
