Chapter 7
With one last glance at my phone, I sauntered away from the window and prepared for the day.
I studied my reflection one more time in front of the vanity. My reflection exuded confidence and quiet power.
For the day, I had slipped into a white pantsuit tailored to my slender figure. The blazer fitted snuggly over my shoulders matching a pair of trousers which fell effortlessly around my latest Jimmy Choo stilettos.
My gold watch sparkled against the rays of the morning sun as I grabbed my bag and phone, and headed out of my bedroom.
I descended the grand stairs of my mansion just as the laughter of the kids reached my ears. And I saw them—munching their breakfast in the dining hall, all dressed up for school.
“Hurry up, or we’ll be late,” I called out, striding toward the door.
