Stacy thought long about Liam's suggestion the entire weekend and as she drove to work on Monday, with so many thoughts in her mind that were supporting the reasons why she should agree to the suggestion instantly.

She didn't know if Liam could truly get Carlton changed from being her home client, but she wasn't sure she would have a definite answer, even if he would do it for her.

'Was she really willing to change Carlton even if she hated that he was making her feel so guilty?' she thought endlessly.

Ever since she left his house the previous week with the atmosphere around him heavy with distance, the weight of how awkward the situation ended, bore on her shoulders wearily, and left her drained with the disturbing speculations of how to handle things between her and Carlton.

Though she knew it was weird to handle the fact that she and him were once married with levity, she at least wanted to make something work between them, even if it wasn't marriage.
