"I do not think I am obliged to tell you the type of relationship between me and my friend, Mr. Howard," Stacy answered sternly when Carlton asked the same question he asked when she arrived, yet the third time.

"But I answer every one of your questions. Should you not answer mine as my doctor?" He asked her again, not caring about the manner in which she snapped at him. Even if he was angry, he couldn't show it.

"Not this kind of personal question, Mr. Howard. Anything related to your health is a question I want to hear you ask me," she explained to him, almost with a frown, hoping that he would desist from asking her again.

However, for some reason, Stacy liked that he was curious.

‘He had made her feel unworthy when they were together, so maybe seeing her with a guy who might be her lover was making him so uncomfortable,’ she thought to herself, and liked the thought of it.

"I love him and he treats me nicely. Are you fine with the answer?" She
