‘I thought you said that we would be eating alone. I wouldn't have come if I knew it was going to be like this!’ Liam texted his mother sharply, his hands trembling as he burned with repressed fury, upon seeing the most unexpected crowd at their supposed family dinner.

After the last fight Liam had with his father on the phone, his mother, Tracy, had been trying to get both of them back together on good terms.

She was deeply frustrated that her husband and son never seemed to see eye to eye, and had barely managed to convince her husband to set up a friendly family dinner outside their home where they could settle all disputes.
