The air that filled the space of Carlton's office was filled with tension, as he stood up from where he was sitting, and strode elegantly with his hands tucked into his pockets with a wicked smile dancing on his lips towards Alison.

She was sitting comfortably on the deluxe couch that no one showed her, while sipping from the sizzling cup of coffee in her hand with so much confidence.

Though she had made it so difficult to get to the bottom of the truth concerning his company funds, he was far smarter than her gimmicks and the stunts she pulled.

However, it was quite puzzling for him to know that the two persons she had used as her tools were merely driven by instigation, and had been sabotaged by her in the long run due to their loose tracks.

Therefore, they were not able to rope Alison into their mess after they were caught. After all, the two had no idea who had been giving them orders for months because they were getting large deposits from the suppo
