Nick woke up and looked around to see Ryan sleeping peacefully on the bed.

He tiptoed and went outside trying not to disturb him and walked towards the ICU. And peeped inside it from the transparent glass on the door and his heart ached to look at his dad’s fragile form. 

 His eyes had turned red he was about to cry. He saw that the nurse was busy checking his pulse and had a slight smile on her face. She kept his hand down and tucked the duvet around him and came outside. She saw him standing there and smiled and said. 

“Mr. Java moved his hand slightly so we can hope that he will regain his consciousness soon.” Nick let out the breath that he was holding and felt relieved but will not be satisfied till his dad looked up and smiled at him. He looked at him again and walked back to the room allotted by the doctor for him to freshen up. As he entered he saw Ryan was up and was coming out of the washroom.
