Chapter 35

FINN

I had opened up memories I had decided to lock up with me in the past just because I wanted to sound inspirational.

I looked down at my unfinished plate of gnocchi and forked it into my mouth before laughing and shaking my head.

"Why are you laughing?" Scarlett asked.

I looked up at her and shook my head. "Nothing much. Just remembered something."

She nodded and went back to her food. I was taken back to the times I spent with Ginny. She was my first love and I don't think I'd ever get over her.

We used to be such a good pair, going everywhere together, spending time together. I had met her one day at the yearly fair and we bonded immediately. I learned that she used to love to travel and she made sure to talk to me about it every day. I wasn't a fan of traveling. In fact, I loved my home so much and the idea of traveling didn't really appeal to me.

But she left.

I looked at Scarlett.
