Chapter 50

Regina woke up an hour later, and Giannis was still asleep. She quietly got out of bed lest she wake him up. She needed to make something for him to eat.

He had taken the medicines without eating anything, which wasn’t good at all.

All the staff had gone home for the night, so she had to cook something quickly for Giannis. Regina arranged the ingredients for making rice porridge.

When she was done, she set it on a tray and made her way upstairs to the bedroom.

“Seven? Seven, wake up,” she called quietly.

Giannis stirred, lifting his hand to hold his head as he slowly opened his eyes.

He could hear Regina’s voice clearly now. He was afraid that he would open his eyes and they would ache like they had before, but when he did, he was fine.

There was still a subtle pain at the sides of his head, but he was sure it would also go away as soon as he rested some more.

“Take it easy,” Regina advised, helping him into a sitting position.
