Chapter 55

The drive back from the hotel was a quiet one. Regina, still in shock from confirming her suspicions about Benjamin, sat motionless, her eyes staring blankly into the passing scenery. Giannis, on the other hand, was a bundle of emotions. Anger at Benjamin’s audacity, worry for Regina, and a sense of urgency to ensure justice was served.

He knew he was going to have to protect her at all costs. There was no way he was going to let Benjamin get away with all that.

Upon reaching the mansion, Giannis helped Regina out of the car and into the house. “You need to rest, Reggie,” he said, his voice filled with concern. Regina nodded absentmindedly, the weight of the previous night’s event still heavy on her mind.

The idea that her own cousin, Benjamin, had plotted to sabotage her dinner with Fabian Marks, using the chef named Alex, was chilling. The fact that she could’ve been severely injured or dead because of a fishbone deliberately placed in her food was horrifying.
