Giannis sat up in bed, tensed at Regina’s question. He had no intentions of telling her about his medical condition, not until after his operation was carried out successfully.
Regina sat up, too, noticing his change in mood. With her hand on his shoulder, she asked, “What is it, Giannis? Why don’t you just tell me the truth? I know that something has been bothering you. I’ve seen the pills you take. Why don’t they have any information on the containers?”
“Reggie, there’s no need to get worked up. Most of the pills are to relieve stress and multivitamins. You, of all people, should know how hard I work and how busy I am. I need those meds to function more effectively,” he lied.
