Chapter 27. Taken

Zelina’s POV

This morning I woke up Niklaus was gone I asked the chefs to prepare lunch for him, I want to surprise him by showing up and spending an hour with him before I go to work next week.

The chefs prepared Niklaus’s favorites, and I am so excited for him to try them. I have recently realized how much having Niklaus means to me. I seek out his comfort during tough times. I do not know if I love Niklaus, but I know I have strong feelings for him. I know I want to be a good wife for him, I want to better myself to be the wife he needs.

I called an Uber. During the drive I could not help recalling all the good memories Klaus and I have shared since we have been married. I have shared a lot of my firsts with him. I have never felt this way about anyone before. My head starts spinning, I run my hand over my face to keep myself from falling over. I feel exhausted all of a sudden. I am struggling to keep my eyes open. I somehow dosed off.
