Chapter 30. The Search

Niklaus’s POV

"I’m sure you could do a better job, but right now I only care about my wife... I am in a bit of a rush" I ignore my uncle pulling out my gun and walking into the motel ahead of him. I was not sure if there were more of those thugs around, I needed to be on guard.

"God you’re such an asshole like your father and that’s not a compliment by the way. I mean it as an insult..." he groans behind me but follows me anyway.

I do not respond, if I could be half the man my father is I would be happy. My father has loved my mother from the second he laid eyes on her; he taught me what it meant to love your wife and how to protect your family so if I could be anything like him, I would be happy.

We start on the ground floor checking room by room, checking to make sure Zelina is not in any of them.

But we got nothing on the first floor...

We go up to the second floor checking each room carefully and she is not here...
