Chapter 64. Pleasant Surprise

Catalina's POV

Vixen and I glanced at each other in confusion.

Mine was more scared than confused, so we began working towards the sound.

Vixen held me back, "Are you sure? Once we see it, we cannot unsee it."

I nodded firmly, "I am sure."

She nodded and removed her arm from mine, the ringing was coming from the car.

"This is better than the haunted house," Vixen commented.

I laughed silently before schooling my expression. This wasn't the time to be joking around.

"Come on, you can laugh. This is an episode of a Bond movie except we are the stupid ones."

"Why would you call us stupid?" I asked.

"Aren't we supposed to be running away from the danger but we are walking towards it."

I laughed loudly then. I stopped short and laughed.

Vixen watched me with a weird expression on her face, there was nothing funny about this situation but I was laughing.

"You are weird," she said.

I nodded
