Chapter 66. Safe Word

Catalina's POV

Killian paused when the words left my lips.

"Massage," I said again for good measure.

He glared at me as his chest fell and rose with each harsh breath he took. His eyes a little bit wide with disbelief as he wondered.

"What did you just say?" he hissed.

"T...the safe word."

"I see," he dropped the whip and stepped closer to me.

"Is that what you used when he touched you?"

I shook my head.

The strength to explain myself left me in a flash. I looked beside the bed to see my phone.
