Chapter 44

Elysia's POV

As we approached the entrance to the wedding reception, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over me. I had forgotten my invitation at home, and I knew that this would cause problems. Sure enough, when it was my turn to present my invitation to the security guard, he stopped me. 

I looked at Damon, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. I saw the anger and disappointment in his eyes, and I couldn't help but feel guilty. How could I have been so careless? I couldn't believe that I had forgotten something so important.

 But as I looked at Damon, I saw the hurt in his eyes, and I knew that I had to do something to make things right. Damon took my hand and led me out of the reception, and I knew that we had a lot of work to do to repair our relationship. But I was determined to make things right, no matter what it took.

"Where do you think you are going?" Danica, the bride stopped us and snapped at the security. "They are spec
