Chapter 24. Pang of Jealousy?

Alexander’s POV

I had closed for the day at my workplace, and as I walked out of the office to my car, I just could not shake off the feeling of uneasiness that washed over me. My mind drifted off to the reply Nina had sent in regards to my message, I was not satisfied with the reply she gave, for some reason. Her reply seemed so formal and… emotionless. I was expecting more from her, maybe even a call would do.

She had also participated greatly towards this victory and should be happy for her achievement, at least she had taken her revenge on Leo.

I entered my car and started my engine and as I drove through the busy streets of the city, my mind was still preoccupied with thoughts of Nina’s reply. It really bothered me greatly and I could not deny the fact that I was slightly annoyed.
