Chapter 28. The Waiting Game
Nina’s POV
“So, you are going for him, right?” Nora asked, staring at me with a questioning expression.
“Of course,” I nodded as I took a bite out of my seafood boil.
“You know, I would have been a much more capable model, though,” she muttered, a slight pout on her lips.
“Oh shut up, psycho,” I chuckled.
“I’m just saying, though,” she shrugged with a laugh.
After some hours, we were done with our date and it was finally time to go home.
“Oh my…” I groaned, touching my belly. “I’m so full right now.”
“Me too,” Nora sighed as we both stood up and began walking out of the restaurant.
“This was such a thrilling experience,” I said as we both waited for a taxi.
“I know right,” Nora smiled. “Thank you so much for showing up for me, Nina, it means a lot,” she pursed her lips as she drew me into a hug.
“Thank you,” I muttered as I hugged her, stroking her hair gently.
