Chapter 36. The Gift

Alexander’s POV

As Nina said those words, I paused for a moment, trying to process what Nina had just asked. She wanted me to come with her to dinner.

I pursed my lips slightly, trying to think of a way to reply to her. One thing I needed was that I could not agree to her request, I had asked to remain anonymous for a reason.

“Umm… I spoke up, my voice cracking for a moment. “That is really kind of you to offer but, as much as I want to, I can’t meet up with you physically.”

I didn’t want Nina to know my true identity, I was a CEO of the most renowned company to ever grace the earth, it would not be right for her or anyone else to know that someone like me would want to be her model due to some flimsy reasons.

As I said those words, there was a pause at the other end of the line. I held my breath and bit down on my lower lips. I didn’t know how Nina was going to react knowing that I wanted to remain anonymous and didn’t want to meet up with her f
