Chapter 155. The Stone
Sarah stood stiff and panicked.
His grandmother was out of her plan. She didn't expect something like that to happen, but suddenly, Adrian took her hand and brought her closer to his grandmother.
"Nana, this is Leah, my girlfriend," he said casually, while beside him, Sarah was busy calming her heart, which was pounding so loudly, deafening her ear.
"Good evening, Mrs. Stone," she greeted hesitantly.
Zelda Stone didn't say anything and turned her face back to her painting, making Sarah feel like she was being rejected.
"Amber! Take me back to my room!" she snapped, waving to her caretaker, who had been standing not far from her.
Sarah looked at Adrian confusedly. She didn't know that Adrian and his grandmother were in a cold war.
She looked at Zelda Stone intensely and wondered why Elena skipped her name from the list.
