Chapter 38
I opened my eyes, and the white ceiling greeted me. My eyes hurt a little because I was dazzled by the light that was there. I felt as if something had pierced my left hand, so I looked at it. I followed that and saw an IV drip hanging from the IV stand on my side.
I think I have an idea of where I am now. Add to that the smell of medicine that immediately greeted me when I woke up.
I'm in the hospital. I was hit by a car; that's why I am here. I laughed. I thought I was going to stay. I thought that was the way to get out of my miserable life. I thought I would be free, but I'm still not. My suffering is still not over.
Why? Is it not enough? Are the pains I felt missing? all that I've been through? All the cuts and bruises I received? All those hurtful words I heard? Is all that not enough? What else must happen before I get rid of this pest? What else?!
