Chapter 50. Deeply Hoped...
After Lucien was done bathing, warm steam still clinging faintly to his skin, he stepped out of the bathroom. His bare feet touched the soft carpet and, for a moment, the quietness of the room wrapped around him. He expected the space to be empty, but his steps slowed when he noticed Zayn still sitting in the bedroom.
The man was leaning back on the bed, one arm propped lazily against the headboard, his eyes fixed on his phone. The soft glow of the screen reflected off his sharp features.
Lucien’s brows rose slightly, but he said nothing. He tightened his grip on the towel hanging around his waist and walked toward the wardrobe.
The wardrobe was massive—dark wood with polished handles, standing tall against the wall like it belonged in a magazine. Lucien pulled the doors open and was greeted by an orderly display of clothes hanging neatly in rows. The faint smell of new fabric drifted out.
