Lucien smiled as he hugged the plush dragon to his chest, the soft fabric brushing against his cheek. it comforted him in ways he could not explain. He gave the dragon a quick kiss, grinning as though it were alive.
From the side, Zayn watched him quietly as his lips curved into a small smile, the kind that rarely appeared on his face in public. There was something about Lucien’s joy that disarmed him every time.
Day, seated at the front beside the driver, turned his head slightly and addressed Zayn in his calm tone.
“Boss, we have to attend the Obsidian Summit today. We’re already running late.”
