Chapter 11. As Broken as She Is

“Well, did he?” Rose asked, her brows raised,

Aria shook her head, “No, he didn’t.” she answered, “Why would you even think that?”

Rose shrugged, “I heard from the other servants that he sometimes throws bones at servants when he is angry.”

“Wow.” Aria gasped. “You are joking, right?” she asked,

“Nah,” Rose answered, “I have only met him a couple of times, but even I know that he is pretty much a boar with rabies. As long as you stay out of his way, you are good.”

Aria laughed fully this time, she didn’t know what to think about Rose. She had never met anyone in her life with this much confidence and joy bubbling out of them.

Aria caught herself laughing and smiled. She could not remember the last time she had ever felt this free speaking to someone. “You don’t care who hears you, do you?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. “What if one of the guards hears you calling the alpha a boar with rabies?”

Rose made a show of glancing arou
