Chapter 31. Meeting Her Evil Sister

Alpha Alder stood upright with his arms crossed behind his back, his fur cloak falling across his shoulders.

He met the arrogant gaze of the man in front of him.

Ronan Thorne was a man who thought himself an Alpha, but Alder could see right through him. Ronan wasn’t even a man yet. He was a kid, an unblooded who thought himself to be better than alphas.

This wasn’t the first time that Alder had met wolves like Ronan before. They were all bark and no bite. He knew how to handle them.

A smile tugged at the corner of Alder’s lips as he watched Ronan try to stay composed. The kid might have thought that he was acting unaffected, but Alder could see directly through him. He could see the doubt in the eyes of the kid, he could feel the kid’s hunger for power.

In a way, the kid kind of reminded Alder of his youth.

“Alpha Alder.” Ronan bowed again, speaking up and breaking the silence between the two men. “I’d love to thank you again for attending to us.”
