Chapter 84. The White Wolf Attacks

Aria blinked, her eyes narrowed as she locked on the distant figure of her friend,

“What is Rose doing here?” she thought as her gaze locked on the young woman standing around the chaos and gore in the middle of the clearing. But what really caught her attention though, wasn’t the human itself.

It was the weave.

It changed.

The weave seemed to curl and shimmer around her. The strands of light coiled around the air and seemed to form beautiful patterns on her skin. This wasn’t the first time Aria had used weaver’s sight on Rose, but this was the first time she had ever seen the weave behave in an entirely new manner.

The strands twisted into patterns that not only crisscrossed Rose but were also present in the old woman by her side.

For a moment, Aria forgot everything else as she stared at the weave. She forgot the blood, the screams of fear, even the smoke.

The weave danced for them ---- both of them.
