Aria’s POV

The rumors are everywhere that the gamma will be returning after almost a year since he left the palace for a business trip.

And the king has thrown a welcome party for him, and everywhere has been in chaos.

I don’t know why, but part of me felt excited to see him. I felt so happy, which surprised me.

Because I didn’t know this man whose name has been flying around the whole place for two fucking days now.

Though I feel some connection with him that I can’t predict, I'm not sure what it was all about.

This is kind of strange because we have never met before.

This is Layla’s fake father that I am talking about, so how could I be connected to him when I am not even on the best of terms with his daughter?

Then why feel a pull toward him when he is my enemy’s father?

I sighed and shook off the restless feelings within me.
