Khalid’s POV

I walked into my father’s chamber, and opening the door I was met with him and my mother as usual.

“Good day mom, and dad… You called,” my father just nodded.

“Good morning to you too, son,” my mom greeted, smiling.

I smiled back and tore my gaze from her and had it settled on my father.

“Have a seat, son,” he motioned at the chair in front of him.

I walked over and sat beside my mother which was the only available space right now.

“We called you for a reason,” he said but I just motioned for him to go on and spill it.

“I will be handing over this position to you in two weeks,” he announced, causing my heart to skip a bit in euphoria.

“In two weeks,” I repeat, earning a nod from him.

“You heard me, right son,” he said.

I glanced at him and then at my mom sitting beside me surprisingly.

What good news to receive this morning.

“But before then I worry,” my head quickly snapped at him.
