I dressed up in the morning and sat on the couch with a smile staring at the wall while waiting for Khalid to come out.

It wasn’t long after he came out all dressed, but his face deepened into a frown as he stared at me.

“Why are you dressed like you are going out?”

“Of course, I am going out,” I laughed slightly.

“Remember that you are grounded or have you forgotten that?” His eyebrow curled up in a questioning manner.

“No. No. How could I forget so soon,” I laughed when flipping my hands in the air.

“Better,” he mumbled and tried walking away but I barricaded his path.

He raised his eyebrow and motioned for me to move away but I remained on my spot.

“You know that promises are meant to be fulfilled,” the corner of my lips pulled up in a smirk.
