Chapter 205. This Is a Lie

Sitting up on the bed with a jerk, she splayed one hand on her chest while the other hand subconsciously wandered to her face which was damped with sweats and tears.

Her widened eyes glanced fearfully around the dim room, with only the bedside lamp as the only source of illumination.

After calming down, she heaved a deep sigh and glanced sideways at the empty spot beside her then turned to the alarm clock which says 3:15 AM.

Her brows furrowed, and she slowly stood up from the bed then walked out of the room, and downstairs toward the kitchen.

After pouring herself water in a glass cup, she slowly sipped it while her thoughts wandered to the nightmare again.

Shaking off the thoughts, she dropped down the glass and started walking back to the stairs.

After reaching the bedroom door, she extended her hands to turn the knob but suddenly paused and glanced sideways at the door which was on the far end of the hallway.
