Chapter 73. Forgiving Her

And now with her mother’s scrutinizing, Lucy was afraid she was going to get scolded. However, she was ready to receive a thousand scolds right now, she didn’t care. All she wanted was to hug her mother again.

And she did hug her. Her mother didn’t seem to mind the hairstyle though. They kept on hugging and sobbing, until the clearing of her father’s throat made them pull apart.

“I’m thrilled to see you looking alright, dear.” Her mother cupped her face and sighed. “I was so mad at you. I couldn’t sleep knowing that you were out there, alone. You’re going to be fine now and things will be good again, okay?”

She said in a doting voice as if reassuring her. A tear dropped from Lucy’s eyes and she nodded. Hopefully, things were going to be fine. Whatever reason had had her parents summon her, she had her own reasons now and things would be good.
