Chapter 72. What Have You Done to Your Hair?

As the cab drove through the city, she leaned back against the seat and gripped tightly on her bag. There was no need to be afraid. After what Cedric did to her last night, he shouldn’t be able to lift his head when she exposed him.

And her parents. They’d be happy to know that she hadn’t ended up with someone like him. Maybe what happened last night was a blessing in disguise.

It wouldn’t have been a blessing though, if Jai hadn’t saved her.

Thinking of Jai, Lucy wondered if he was alright. Should she call him and ask. But how would he take it? How was she going to explain to him that Greg hadn’t meant to do what he did.

Greg had thought he was trying to kidnap her. He didn’t know they knew each other. Still, she felt she should apologize in Greg’s stead.

Both guys were only looking out for her. Unfortunately, they bumped into each other at the wrong time.

It was a good thing a real fight didn’t break out. Jai was sensible enough to leave the pla
