His eyes lingered on her face and another smile graced his lips. And as he stepped inside the house, to the living room and up the stairs, he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
This felt surreal. It was still like a dream. Maybe he was dreaming about all this. He had broken his promise and drunk those wines. And everything was all his hallucinations.
But hell, this wasn’t a dream. Everything had been real. The party. The alarm. And her. It was all real.
And as he stepped up the stairs—Wait. The stairs.
Greg halted in his steps and stood in the middle of the stairs. What the heck was he doing?
