Chapter 113. That Wasn’t Fair
Greg stared at her and ran a hand through his hair. There was a hint of worry in his eyes. He turned off the tap and took her hand.
“I’ll have a new batch delivered to you,” he said softly as he led her out of the kitchen. “I’m sure Trina’s going to be glad to bake you another one.”
“Oh.” Lucy gave him a nod. But wouldn’t that be too wasteful. Ordering the cakes twice in a day. He would order it again tomorrow anyway. She’d be too selfish to let him buy her another one.
Urgh! Why hadn’t she brought her credit’s card with her? She’d complain that to her brother and asked him to reactivate her account. Since her brothers were on her aside, they wouldn’t think twice before helping her with that. So she turned to Greg and told him he didn’t have to. She was already selfish enough, leeching off him. She didn’t want to look like a whiny baby. The cupcakes could wait till tomorrow. She gave one last longing look at the sink before they left the kitchen.
