Whatever happened, it definitely must be his fault. Not only had he put her friend in trouble, he’d also landed her in a very deep trouble.
Lucy’s parents would never trust her anymore. Her own parents were also planning to set her up with some bloody guy. They thought she was getting out of hand. They thought she was a bigger trouble than Lucy. They thought she was the one making Lucy do all these.
Things were not going the way she wanted. She had her career to focus on. And not some marriage which would in no doubt restrict her in so many ways. Hell! She wasn’t ready for any intimate relationship right now.
“You’re scaring me, Gina.”
Gina was catching her breath, maybe due to the anger or the fright, or maybe both she didn’t know.
