Ezrah smiled bitterly. “How can you be so heartless?” he asked. Michelle was offended but relaxed when he explained.

“Have you wondered what they are doing inside?” He caught Michelle’s cheeks crimson and smiled internally.

“Is it so hard for you to understand that Coco would no longer be at your beck and call?”

The understanding settled in that Coco had her work and the remaining time she had to split between Lake and Michelle, but Lake would always get a greater part because he was her man.

It was a painful realization, making Michelle accept that she had to make some serious adjustments to contain the situation.

That was the only way to not feel lonely. Michelle always kept to herself, though she was always in the limelight.

If nothing else, she learned from Ezrah to keep her personal life private and as such, did not have many friends.

It was the reason why even Edmund found it hard to break through, though Michelle let him in.
