Chapter 16. A Friend at Night

Audrey washed the dishes and then covered carter, who was sleeping carelessly on the couch, with a blanket. She strode through the balcony, staring at the flowers for countless hours. Although they made the balcony beautiful, she was not satisfied with the outcome.

She watched the buzzing street wondering what the new year's trend collection will be, hoping it was going to major out from Colton's fashion.

Her eyes were slowly becoming heavy, so she retired back to bed.

She woke up right to an unusual sound. She glanced at the time, it was two, midnight. Rubbing her bleary eyes, she could tell where the sound was coming from.

She was wearing only a silk nightgown but rushed to the living room where Carter was panting heavily, grabbing the blanket tightly.
