Chapter 60. Deep Stare

Lucien’s heart constricts at the sight of Juliet in that position, sobbing and a pang of pain washes over him. He despises seeing her cry because it hurts him deeply.

He tends to hold back his anger whenever he sees her in tears because he knows he has been the one causing her to cry, but knowing he isn’t the one causing her tears right now, he can’t help but clench his fists and grit his teeth.

It takes him a lot of control to hold back himself from getting up from that wheelchair and going as far as Forest Hills to make Brooks pay for causing his beloved to cry. He has already planned earlier with Ethan and Corbin seems to be holding him back right now as he knows definitely that everything will be taken care of once they do all he has told them to do.
