Chapter 71

Verona groaned as her eyes fluttered open. The blue worried ones of Jeremy met hers. 

"Alpha Griffin?" She called out.

Jeremy sighed as a smile of relief appeared on his face. Verona looked around and noticed she was in his arms as the group surrounded them.

"You gave us a scare there, you know that?" Jeremy laughed as he placed her back on her feet. June walked towards her and gave her a tight hug.

"Don't ever make us worried like that again!" June said as they pulled apart.

"You can say that again. " Gabi laughed, an arm around his wife. Mandy had now moved towards Jeremy who slipped around her. Gerard stood beside his brother, a frown on his face.

"I guess the spirits decided it wasn't my time yet. They must have still thought I have a lot to do." Verona chuckled as she leaned to rest on June.

"Are you okay?" Jeremy asked.

"Yes." Verona replied. "Just a bit weary."

"We should go and get Dahlia." Gerard spoke. His frown deepened
