Chapter 65

Diana heard everything and before she vacated the valley with her wild wolves, she had one thing in mind. Andrew was in dire need of her help. She has to formulate a scheme on her own and she should be faster and thorough about it.

Arriving at the little cabin in the woods, Diana ordered the wild wolves to hang around and watch their surroundings. In the half-light of midnight, they could be mistaken as dogs, but dogs don't move the way wolves do - they move in choreographed motions, one family of canines like ballet dancers flowing over the earth. There was an intelligence in their eyes, shyness, and loyalty, a wariness of her kind.

Inside the cabin, Tommy cried out, "Where the hell have you been D? I am fuckin worried. What on bloody earth is your problem? I told you to stay away from the settlement and inform me when you went awol again. You have me worried for a second there."

"Come on! Tom!, you are exaggerating now. I just went for some fresh air."
