Chapter 19
Tenth Century, Wildwater Hamlet
Two feral vampires were hanging by their necks from pillars beneath the arena when Darwin entered the conference area for combatants below the stadium. Darwin was startled by this spectacle. They were beaten to a bloody pulp. One of them had his tongue hanging out of his mouth in a horrendous distortion. On his way out to the setting, a vampire guard dressed in knight armor came to a halt. "This abomination was dumped on you by two criminals, who are now facing charges. Death." The guards murmured.
Darwin smirked as he walked past the carcasses of feral vampires dangling from borders. The knight vampires had discovered the ruse and immediately imposed their law of respect upon Darwin to punish the culprit for their actions. Possibly, this horde of gilded feral hooligans wasn't all that bad after all. Darwin thought.
