Chapter 33
On the guest floor, they celebrated and danced to the music. Then Aria stepped forward and told them that she had a song for Nick, and everyone clapped and waited for her to start.
When she started singing, everywhere was quiet. Nick felt a chill run up his spine; he had never heard a live voice as beautiful as Aria’s. Everyone was amazed at how sweet and melodious her voice was. When she was done, they all stood up and clapped for her.
“Wow! I don’t know that you have the voice of an angel,” Mike praised.
“The last time I did something like this was two years ago, so my voice is no longer as good as it used to be,” Aria said as she walked back to her seat.
“Are you sure you don’t want to go back to singing?” Nick asked her.
“Well, I’d love to, but I don’t have money to start a band in Manhattan,” she said.
