Chapter 158. The Boss of Them All
He missed her terribly, but he wouldn't go to her while she was studying.
The detective couldn't give him many details, apart from the fact that she was studying and working with her brother.
Bonnie got out of the water and picked up her cell phone to order lunch for them. Adam then realized that he was starving, and the children must have been too.
Everyone got out of the pool and changed. Adam took the children to the kitchen, where Bonnie cooked some eggs and chopped fruit for them. The lunch she had ordered arrived before she had finished preparing the children's food, but Adam waited for her. The children were exhausted from the swimming pool and fell asleep on the fluffy rug in the living room. Adam and Bonnie decided to stay there, watching La Casa de Papel and commenting quietly about their characters so as not to wake the children.
