Chapter 101. Pressure
For the next couple of weeks, I was just in bed. Literally in bed. Maia ensured that I would not be moving anywhere by putting a nurse to keep an eye on me and guarding my bedroom door.
I was suddenly like a prisoner at my own house.
Thankfully, after three long weeks, I was given the go signal. Even while I was on bed rest, Maia never allowed me to work. No matter how much I argued with her about letting me work, she did not allow me.
"Now that I am done with my bed rest, it is your turn, my Queen," I said as I massaged Maia's back.
"There are a lot of things to do. Besides, I am not sick. I don't need any bed rest. You, Mister, have to take things slowly. It does not mean that just because you are out of bed-rest, you can go back to your old ways of overworking yourself," she said.
