Chapter 28. It Was Suffocating
Anthony called Iris in his office in the morning and asked her if she was facing trouble at work.
“No,” Iris replied while keeping her head low.
“His Royal Highness sees you as his special person. Try not to get into the nobility’s eyes,” Anthony told Iris.
“Yes,” Iris replied in a low voice.
“About your family, they have been looking for you,” Anthony informed Iris, who lifted her head to gaze at him. “I got the orders from the Crown Prince to resolve this matter. Since you are an adult, they do not have any right to keep you. However, the inspector from your city has asked if you could go there.”
“May I know why I need to go there?” Iris inquired.
“To give the answer to the inspector. Your parents cannot be called here, so you need to go there and tell them you no longer wish to live with them,” Anthony asserted.
Iris furrowed her brows together. “But His Grace has said in the morning that I did not have to see my family,” she asserted.
