Chapter 30. Is She My Mate?
Iris screamed as her foot slipped, and she fell into the pool of water. Adolphus's reflexes acted at the right time. He caught Iris by the waist, but he could not keep up with his balance, and they fell into the pool.
Iris's lips landed on his and her eyes widened. She saw his pupils turning greener, which appeared strange to her.
Adolphus kept his hold tight on Iris and they went out of the water. Their feet touched the pool surface and they looked into each other's eyes. The water reached her chest, while for Adolphus it was below the chest.
"Forgive me, Master," Iris said and her eyelids flickered. "It was an accident. I didn't want to do it," she said with fear in her voice.
"You didn't get hurt, right?" He inquired. His voice was gentle and full of concern.
"Master caught me at the right time. I am alright," Iris said. He wiped the water from her cheeks from the back of his palm. She
