The next week was pure agony. I didn't meet Xavier once. He was swallowed up by the ground. The reality was more that he avoided me. As painful as it was to admit it, it certainly was.

I spent my days with Melody, otherwise, there wasn't much going on. I soon went completely insane in that house. Which is why I wanted to take a risk today.

I wasn't sure if it was because I needed to get out before I went insane. Or if it was because I was hoping to get Xavier's attention.

The desperation waved wildly because it would be negative attention. He would most likely react badly to that. But that would at least prove to me that the man at least felt something. Even if it's just anger.
