Chapter 36. As Long as I Have Her

ADRIAN’S POV

“Fucking idiots!” I scream as I throw my glass across the wall of my bedroom. The prostitute I banged last night jerks up from my bed with a startled look on her face. Last night, I got drunk because I was so happy the people I sent to kill that Dante guy would succeed. But then I got a call this morning that the two men I sent out last night were caught by the police, and the one I trusted the most was almost beaten to death.

He was my best guy. I trust him with every single person that I ever want to get rid of. He’s efficient and he always gets the job done in minutes and now he’s locked up in a cell no thanks to Dante.

When Adeline’s parents told me they had a daughter, I was skeptical. Of course, they showed me pictures of her, but I didn’t get obsessed until I actually saw her. I’m not in love with the girl or anything, but her family has money. I’ll make a lot of money from them with their new company and as one of their top investors.
