ADELINE’S POV

It’s finally Saturday, and it has officially been two days since Adrian Wellington barged into my office and threatened me. The only people who know about what happened are Dante and myself, and I want to keep it that way because I do not want Liam to worry about me.

Liam is happy with Naomi and after losing his client weeks ago, he’s finally getting back on track and working on new cases again and I don’t want to ruin that for him by making him worry needlessly about me. I have Dante and Lian needs to give the entirety of his free time to Naomi.

I know if he ever finds out I’m keeping something like this from him, he would freak, but what kind of friend would I be if I ruined the happiness he just recently found with Naomi? I refuse to be a burden to anyone.
