Chapter 42. Game on, Adrian

DANTE’S POV

Saturday was a horrible day for Adeline. All she wanted was a normal night with her friends. All she wanted was a peaceful dinner, and her parents couldn’t give her one even though it didn’t matter how much her parents are parents are willing to do just so she could marry this Adrian guy.

I know Adrian threatened Adeline, but now I’m starting to think that he threatened her parents, too. I mean, they basically depend on Adrian for their company to go big and worldwide once they launch it, but I’m baffled that they’re willing to do all that, even in the jeopardy of their daughter.

Adrian has them brainwashed and no doubt scared. I’m sure of it. He actually wants Adeline for himself now, and he’s willing to do anything to get her from me. Is he even willing to send people to my house to kill me? I still haven’t forgotten about that, but I haven’t been able to do much about it because of all that happened.
